Tongwa Donden, the 6th Karmapa (1416-1453): with the hands held to the heart performing the mudra (gesture) of teaching and the head adorned with the black vajra crown. The deity Prajnaparamita, orange in colour, sits between the two lamas, with numerous buddhas above and lineage teachers below.
