The images act as sigils or binding signatures - a pledge that these afflictions will not be unleashed upon the owners of the protective talisman - Kalachakra monitors the pledges. All of these images arise from the White beryl text composed by Desi Sanggye Gyatso the regeant of the 5th Dalai lama.
