Lama: with the right hand performing the gesture (mudra) of blessing at the heart and the left placed in the lap in the mudra of meditation. Attired in the orange and red robes of a monk he sits atop an ornate throne with a decorative backrest. At the left is the bodhisattva of long-life, White Tara, and on the right Green Tara.

Above and below are the red hand and foot prints of the lama.

At the top center is Marpa the Translator with the yogi Milarepa on the left and the student Gampopa on the right. At the bottom center is Shadbhuja Mahakala, the wrathful enlightened Dharma protector, with one face and six hands surrounded by orange flames.
